Featuring the photography of Eveline Bingaman and Bea Hendrix, this collection has never been exhibited before and no collection of photography from this part of China has ever been shown in Canada. Indeed, no photographs of Eyaxiang have been exhibited anywhere since the 1940's.
This exhibition showcases examples of the photojournalism of our past expeditions to E'Ya. Collectively, these images tell the story of the Naxi people of Eyaxiang through broad themes which include The Origins of Eyaxiang, Location and Transport, Economics, Health, Traditional Crafts and Education.
To complement such a rare viewing opportunity there will also be a select range of iPhone, tablet and laptop covers, tote bags, limited edition prints and photobooks on sale throughout this event. All proceeds from the sale of these items go directly to support the initiatives of The Aletta Foundation in partnership with Moutonco
